About Commodore 64 Cybernoid
In Cybernoid, Federation storage depots have been raided by pirates who have made off with minerals, jewels, ammunition, and advanced weaponry. The mission of the Cybernoid ship is to recover the stolen goods and return them to storage within a set time limit. To do so, Cybernoid must confront the pirates and overcome their planetary defense systems.
The game is divided into three levels, each comprised of multiple screens navigated through a flip-screen system instead of scrolling. Each screen presents various hazards, including enemy pirate ships, homing missiles, gun turrets, indestructible enemies on fixed paths, or a combination thereof. The Cybernoid ship can acquire power-ups for assistance, such as a rear gun or a giant spiked ball that orbits the ship, as well as utilize built-in special weapons like shields and homing missiles.
When pirate ships are destroyed, they often drop power-ups or jewels that Cybernoid can collect to aid in its mission.
