About Commodore 64 Turrican
Turrican, a video game from 1990, was created by Manfred Trenz and developed for the Commodore 64 by Rainbow Arts. The game can be characterized as a fusion of Metroid and Psycho-Nics Oscar. The vast levels and morph-ball feature drew inspiration from Metroid, while the visual design and weaponry were influenced by Psycho-Nics Oscar. Distinct from many action games of its era, Turrican allowed players to freely explore each level and discover hidden secrets. In 1991, a sequel titled Turrican II: The Final Fight was released.
