About Commodore 64 Creatures

Creatures is a 1990 platform game for the Commodore 64 computer, developed by Apex Computer Productions. Set on the fictional planet of Blot, the game follows a race of creatures called Blotians who were forced to leave their home planet due to an unspecified danger. They built a spaceship to search for a new home and renamed themselves Fuzzy Wuzzies.

After colliding with an asteroid, their spaceship was forced to land on Earth, near an unknown island in the Pacific. The Fuzzy Wuzzies settled on this island, building a city and naming the island “The Happiest Place in The Known Universe.”

However, another type of creature, demons, lives on the other side of the island. Their contrasting characteristics make them natural enemies of the Fuzzy Wuzzies. The demons deceive the Fuzzy Wuzzies by inviting them to a big party, where they capture and imprison them in a torture chamber.

Clyde Radcliffe, the game’s protagonist, is a Fuzzy Wuzzy who left the party before the demons captured his fellow Fuzzy Wuzzies. The game follows Clyde’s journey as he attempts to rescue his species from the demons’ torture chambers and save his people from their captors.
