About Commodore 64 Alleykat
Alleykat on the Commodore 64 is a hybrid game that combines elements of both shooting and racing. Players can select from a variety of races to participate in, with each race featuring unique track characteristics, entry fees, and prizes. The tracks vary significantly β some courses contain obstacles that can be easily destroyed, while others require players to follow a designated path. Throughout each race, enemies continually appear, and players must shoot them down.
When a player is hit or comes into contact with an obstacle, they lose energy. This can be replenished by collecting energy cells scattered throughout the course. The game ends when the player can no longer afford to enter any races.
In the two-player cooperative mode, both players share a single account, and the entry fee for each race is doubled. Players take turns competing in each race, working together to achieve success. (Source: C64 Wiki)
